What We Provide

At My Residential Journey, we provide a structured, supportive, independent living environment for adults age 55 and older who live on a fixed income. We offer quality lodging, essential utilities, and non-medical support services in compliance with the City of Arlington Boarding Home Facility Ordinance No. 25-020.

Lodging & Physical Accommodations

  • Fully Furnished Housing: Safe and sanitary sleeping rooms with bed (at least 6 feet long), clean mattress, pillow, and linens
  • Room Amenities: Chair, end table, and locked chest of drawers for personal belongings
  • Communal Living Spaces: Sitting/recreational room, dining area, and laundry facilities
  • Privacy & Accessibility: Bathrooms with toilets, lavatories, and tubs/showers (1 per 6 residents)

Utilities & Connectivity

Your monthly program fee is all-inclusive, covering:

  • Essential Utilities: Electricity, water, and trash collection
  • Climate Control: Rooms maintained between 71°F and 81°F
  • Digital Access: High-speed Wi-Fi for all residents

Programmatic Structure & Safety

  • Zero-Tolerance Sobriety: 100% drug and alcohol-free environment
  • Active Supervision: Structured living with staff supervision and regular check-ins
  • Safety Equipment: Hard-wired smoke detectors, CO detectors, and fire extinguishers checked monthly
  • Health Standards: Weekly house inspections and daily personal hygiene requirements

Specialized Program Participation

We partner with government-backed housing programs:

Veteran Support

We accept HUD-VASH vouchers and coordinate with the VA to provide housing for homeless Veterans.

Housing Choice Vouchers

We provide units that meet Housing Quality Standards (HQS), accepting standard Section 8 vouchers through the Arlington Housing Authority.
